I Loved Today, but I Am Exhausted!
It was a Brutally hot hiking day today! We knew it was going to be hot so we left at 5:30 am!
Temperature – 35 degrees
It was dark as we walked out of Burgos but the early morning sunlight allowed me to get some good photos.
We had done our 5.5 hours of hiking before 12:00 noon!
We covered 23 Km from Burgos to the small town of Hornillos del Camino!
Bright sun, dry heat, dust, and sun parched fields greeted us today! It was Beautiful!
This was a great little church that we stumbled upon in the early morning!
This 2nd Church below, was run by nuns – The Daughters of Charity. They blessed us all and gave us a medallion to wear to protect us on our hike if the Camino.

As you can see from the rest of the photos below, it was a hot hot sunny day. The sun just was beating down upon us and there was no breeze. It was just dry and dusty but in spite of all of that it was so incredibly beautiful!
