It Had to Happen; Our 1st Dreary and Rainy Day!

Not Only was it a Dull Day, The Route was Dull Too!

I’m writing this post as I sit on the rooftop lounge in my hotel. It’s dreary and gloomy, much like today’s weather during our hike which was 22 Km from Baiona to Vigo (my Step Tracker says 27 Km). It wasn’t terribly exciting or scenic… or so I thought.

I remembered what I wrote about in my blog last night about slowing down, opening my eyes, and looking for what’s beautiful.

This is what my caught my eye today and I felt compelled to take these photos.

My “thing” With Boats in Calm Water.

All of the photographs below or taken as we left the town of Baiona and headed towards Vigo.

The water was very calm and the marina was quiet. The rain was just starting to drizzle when I took all these.

We walked by this church with this massive olive tree in front of it and it caught my eye.

On our hike today was mostly along a road through suburbs and some industrial areas and it wasn’t very exciting but little pockets of interesting things were scattered throughout the day.

Flower Gardens that Made My Day!

As we wove our way through the suburbs, I caught glimpses of the water and found a few surprises along the way. We’re so used to having constant ocean on one side of us that it was a bit odd just to catch a glimpse of it today here in there.

I’m exhausted and tomorrow is another day!

KEEP WALKING!
